India ranks 139 in World Happiness Report, Pak happier at 105: Here's list of 20 happiest nations
The World Happiness Report 2021 has been released by the UN sustainable development solutions network and Finland was once again crowned as the world’s happiest country. india has been ranked 139 out of 149 countries in the list of UN world happiness report 2021. In 2019 India was ranked 140".
What is World Happiness Report?
The World Happiness Report is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness that runs 149 countries by how happy their citizens perceive themselves to be. The World Happiness Report 2021 focuses on the effects of covid-19 and . how people all over the world have fared.
The annual report ranks nations based on gross domestic product per person, healthy life expectancy and the opinions of . residents. Surveys ask respondents to indicate on a 1-10 scale how much social support they feel they have if something goes wrong, their freedom to make their own life choices, their sense of how corrupt their society is and how generous they are.
Our aim was two-fold, first to focus on the effects of covid-19 on the structure and quality of people’s lives,and second to describe and evaluate how governments all over the world have dealt with the pandemic.
Finland has been ranked as the happiest country in the world for the fourth consecutive year. The nordic nation is followed by Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, . Germany and Norway. Pakistan is on 105" , Bangladesh on 101* ° and China on 84", according to the report
People in war-torn Afghanistan are the most unhappy with their lives, followed by Zimbabwe (148), Rwanda (147), .Botswana (146) and Lesotho(145).

2. TESLA_CARS BANNED FROM CHINA’S MILITARY COMPLEXES ON SECURITY CONCERNS: SOURCES

4. INDIA’S URANIUM EXPLORATION IN ARUNANCHAL PRADESH IRKS CHINA
Authorities in China have expressed disappointment over India’s uranium exploration in Arunachal Pradesh.
Chinese authorities have said that India’s uranium exploration in Arunachal Pradesh “will only complicate ChinaIndia border talks”’.
URANIUM MINING IN INDIA:

5. NITIN GADKARI: WILL REMOVE ALL TOLL BOOTHS WITHIN A YEAR, TAKE COLLECTIONS VIA GPS
The government will remove toll booths across the country within a year and carry out collections through GPS imaging on vehiclesinstead,roadtransportand Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said Thursday. “ I want to assure the house that within one year all physical toll booths in the country will be removed. It means that toll collection will happen via GPS. The money will be collected based on Gimaging
“There used to be lot of theft in this. Our income from toll tax used to be Rs 24,000 crore per year, but during Covid time, It was Rs 10,000 Crore lower. But we have implemented FASTag ,” he said.
Gadkari said 93°o of existing vehicles pay toll using FASTag, but the remaining section had still not adopted it despite having to pay double toll. “It looks like they don’t want to leave a record. Now, I have called a police inquiry.”
The FASTag is a reloadable tag that allows automatic deduction of toll without having to stop for carrying out the cash transaction.The tag uses . radio frequency identification Technology (RFID) and is fixed on the windscreen of the vehicle once active.

6. PARLIAMENT PROCEEDINGS: LOK SABHA PASSES APPROPRIATION BILL
Recently, the Lok Sabha cleared the Appropriation Bill, allowing the Central Government to draw funds from the Consolidated Fund of India.
