 1. NEW SCRAPPING POLICY: MANDATORY FITNESS TEST FOR VEHICLES INCENTIVES FOR OWNERS


Under the new vehicle scrappage policy, owners of old vehicles will strong incentives to scrap old and unfit vehicles. “We have issued an advisory to all vehicles manufacturers to offer 5° o discount while selling a new vehicle against a scrapping certificate,” Gadkari ' said in Lok Sabha. 

In case of failure to get a fitness © certificate, commercial vehicles will be de-registered after 15 years. Private © vehicles will be de-registered after 20 years if found unfit or in case of a failure to renew registration certificates, the minister said.

3. SERIOUS ISSUE IF 3 CRORE RATION CARD WERE CANCELLED, SAYS SUPREME COURT



The Supreme Court has asked the centre to respond to a plea related to the cancellation of over 3 crore ration cards for not linking them to Aadhar. 

Also, the SC has sought A report on the implementation of the grievances redressal mechanism. It is contained in sections 14, 15 and 16 of the national food security act, 2013. 

1. Riht to food which the ration card _ symbolised, cannot be curbed or cancelled because of lack of Aadhar, says the petitioner. 

“CONCERNS: 

1. The Court said the issue is concerning because the government has cancelled cards of even tribal people and the poor, solely because they could not be biometrically linked with Aadhar. 

2. The Union of India casually gives an explanation that these cancelled cards were bogus. The real reason is that the technological system based on iris identification, thumb prints, nonpossession of Aadhaar, non-functioning of the Internetin rural and remote areas;etc.., Led to large-scale cancellations ration cards, without notice to the family . concerned.

 1.THE "VACCINE PASSPORT’ THAT DENMARK IS GOING TO LAUNCH  «In an effort to reduce curbs on travel and public life, Denmark Wednesday said it is in the process of rolling out a digital passport that would show if holders have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.  «Morten Boedskov, Denmark’s Finance Minister, said in a news conference,‘‘This is aboutus, asa country, exploiting the technical advantages we have.
